A TOP sustainability expert has spoken out on the housing crisis at the Minster Housing Association’s annual meeting.
Guest speaker Pooran Desai, of sustainable community development company BioRegional Quintain Ltd, gave a lively presentation on the importance of building sustainable communities in the current housing crisis.

“Did you know that the first wind turbine was invented by Charles F. Brush in 1888 ?” was the question asked of BQL’s Sustainability Director, Pooran Desai OBE, by a student at the Kent Construction Expo. Pooran had to answer, “No” but thanked the student for teaching him something new !
Pooran had been invited by Denne Construction, the contractors on One Brighton, to present awards to about 50 students from schools in Kent who had completed engineering projects in One Planet Living.
