CIAC (Community In A Cube)

CIAC (Community In A Cube)

With excitement building ahead of the imminent official launch of RiversideOne, sustainable community developer BioRegional Quintain has released for sale the first limited number of apartments within CIAC (Community in a Cube) and announced that they will be priced from £94,999.

Interest in the £200m development has been huge, with over 800 people making enquiries and registering on the development’s website, www.riverside-one.com . Now that the first apartments with prices have been released for sale, Bioregional Quintain’s head of residential sales & marketing, Helen Devy, is expecting a surge of potential buyers to contact the sales team.
“We have had a very positive, strong response to RiversideOne from potential homebuyers from the day we announced what we were going to build here,” she said. “Since the beginning of the year, the momentum of the development has increased and so have the enquiries. The launch date, although we cannot reveal it now, is edging ever closer and there is a real sense of excitement amongst our team and those people looking to buy here.”
With prices starting at £94,999 for a studio apartment, the homes within CIAC all benefit from design which maximises the living space available. Comprising studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments, CIAC’s apartments are excellent examples of the thoughtful, innovative homes that RiversideOne will provide.
Every apartment within CIAC features a fully fitted contemporary kitchen available in a range of colours and styles. In line with developer BioRegional Quintain’s sustainable principles the kitchens also feature integrated energy efficient appliances.
All of the two bedroom apartments benefit from an en suite, whilst the bathrooms in the homes include fittings designed to deliver water efficiency. The apartments also have central heating with a fresh air ventilation and heat recovery system to reduce fuel costs.
Helen continued: “CIAC’s apartments demonstrate how our designers are able to combine both function and form to deliver homes that provide a great living space. They are also extremely energy efficient, meaning people will save on their utility bills whilst minimising their impact on the environment simply by living in CIAC.”
Designed by award-winning UK architect Fashion Architecture Taste, CIAC is one of five residential cubes being constructed as part of the £200m transformation of Middlesbrough’s Middlehaven docks into RiversideOne.
The building’s designers have developed a structure that delivers a bold and unique statement. CIAC is made up of an area of open space at ground level containing a chalet building and a central south-facing courtyard which, above ground, splits the cube into two wings.
Built over eight storeys, CIAC has 12 apartment types which are each named after a pioneering modern artist - such as Rodin, Hepworth and Popova - in a move which reflects the overall vibrancy and visionary design of RiversideOne.
CIAC’s design also further fosters community with a local pub which sits at the base of the building over looking the dock basin. The building’s location provides all residents with highly sought after waterside living, whilst those who decide to purchase apartments on the top two floors will have stunning views of the hills surrounding Middlesbrough.
Homebuyers will also be able to enjoy the facilities available at the new Middlesbrough College also located on the former Docks site. Featuring a fully equipped gym, large sports hall and cafes providing delightful drinks and food, it will provide one of many social hubs within the development.
RiversideOne is situated close to Middlesbrough Football Club, off Winward Way, and provides fast access to the A66 and A19. People interested in purchasing one of the first apartments released for sale at RiversideOne should contact the sales team on 0808 1722 430. Further information on the development is also available at www.riverside-one.com. Prices are correct at time of going to press.
